How can you help us:
Incas del Perú is
the only Travel and Education Centre in Huancayo that is registered with in
the Ministry of Education and the Ministry of Tourism. With this
backing we have pledged to support and promote the development of our
communities as much as possible, but with little impact on traditional
culture.
There are many ways
that you can help us achieve our goals.
-
TOP-CRAFT AND STANDARD CRAFT EXCHANGE The Mantaro Valley is full of high quality
crafts created by people that practice traditional and modern methods.
To assist in developing pride, a sense of identity and an income for
these craft families, Incas del Perú is interested in creating a
network of exchange between International Craftspeople. The trading of
craft pieces will hopefully lead to an International recognition of
the great work of our people. We hope that this will eventually lead
to export, and an income for our families. We acknowledge that other
community aid groups sell crafts abroad. We however, can safely inform
you that Incas del Perú will always ensure that our people will
receive the full monetary value for the crafts that they want to
export.
-
MATERIAL DONATIONS What your country may no longer value as useful,
may still be useful to us overseas. Incas del Perú will be happy to
coordinate the donations of materials to needy communities. In the
past, we have received everything from clothing and medicines, to
tools and dental equipment. Incas del Perú integrates these donations
in such a way that the people in the communities do not become
“beggars”. We teach how to take these simple donations to work towards
a better future. If you have a donation of larger items, we can
coordinate grants to help send the items over to us. We are also happy
to send photos of your donations at work within the
community.
-
DONATIONS OF YOUR IDEAS It is not just material items that can help a
community, but the thoughts and ideas of other people as well. In the
past, many a traveler, anthropologist, business person, or contact
from overseas have shared their views on our projects. If you have any
ideas on how we can better any of our services, please let us
know.
-
PEOPLE POWER If you are interested in
spending some time in Perú, please consider our Volunteer Work
Program. Along with the work areas already listed, we presently need
the assistance of people with the following
knowledge: - CERAMICS - GLASS BLOWING - ARCHAEOLOGICAL
CLASSICATIONS IN PERUVIAN ARCHAEOLOGOGY - VODKA
DISTILLING

MAKE A LASTING IMPRESSION WITH A FINANCIAL DONATION
Incas del Peru has been involved for years in projects which provide training in various skills to local people. These projects have two goals:
to develop a consciousness and respect for the traditions and identity of the region, and to provide an income for people who have few resources.
Our MANOS LIBRES project, for example, teaches inmates of the Huamancaca prison to make crafts which they can sell. This allows them to improve their
living conditions and to provide some support for their families. We also plan to develop an E-business to market the products of our local craftspeople to the world.
DIRECTLY FROM PERU will allow lovers of Peruvian goods to view and purchase them at reasonable prices over the web. We want to keep the administrative costs low so that
the producers can benefit from their work.
We need your support to make these projects possible. If you would like to make a real difference in the lives of the people of this region through either or both of these
projects, please consider making a financial donation. We will ensure that your contribution goes to the programs and people who really need it. More importantly, you will be
able to see how your donation is put to work: you can come and see for yourself, or we can keep you informed via the Internet.
Your donation can be deposited to:
